"Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this? In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind."
-Job 12: 8-10
The summer before I turned 12, my family had the opportunity to go live on a small island off the coast of Malaysia for a few months. Although I was very young, the experience changed my life. The variety of sights, sounds, smells, and cultures opened the world to me in a new way. I'll never forget waking to the sounds of Muslim prayers as they echoed across the city. It was a beautiful time, and it left me with this feeling of "What else is out there?" And so, in my adult life I have sought every opportunity to travel and see new parts of the world. The more places I go, the more love I have for this incredible planet and for its remarkable people. I can see God's love for us in the evidences He has placed in the Earth. We truly are the children of God.
