About The Painting

I believe Christ is the ultimate optimist. Over and over again in the scriptures he shares messages of hope and peace: “…let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27 “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

I believe Christ was always looking up, both in an attitude of hope, and also in looking to the Father for direction. I see these two kinds of looking up as being connected, for when we look up to Heaven for guidance we also find peace. We receive instructions and promises for the future.
