When I was in the cloud forest of Costa Rica, I spotted this small sapling growing out of a tree trunk, and I knew I had to paint it. It reminded me of all the great mentors I have had and how they created a foundation for me to grow from. I still have so far to go to reach their heights, but I will forever be grateful for their sacrifice. I am also reminded of the potential we have in all of us to become, so much is possible. And I think of the Savior, the sure foundation, who's death makes all of our growth possible. Here's to constantly reaching for the Son!
