I often rotate my paintings when I work on them. I'll turn them 90 degrees every sitting to offer me a new perspective on the piece. This turning allows my eyes to catch inaccuracies that I might have missed and help the painting to become more refined. I feel like this same pattern occurs in our lives as well. Just when we seem to get comfortable, God will come and rotate our lives, switch things up, turn things upside down to help us obtain a fresh perspective.
"Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved." Psalm 80:3
